Our normal practise is to take one booking per day in order to give you and your car our full attention. However we do appreciate travel costs can be costly and so can take group bookings, spread over the several days with overnight stays, in order for the travel and mileage costs to be shared amongst several owners.

We can also arrange ‘service’ days for you and your friends or club members – If you need only minor servicing or have several small jobs which can be all carried out within a single day.

Free advice and diagnosis over the telephone can be given, on known issues and any upgrades that are worth having fitted.

Jon is always more than happy to discuss all your requirements, and his passion for these cars is evident.

We are a husband and wife team based in Hull and work seven days a week if necessary.

Jon has owned, repaired and serviced these cars for many years – As enthusiasts it is important to both of us to keep as many of the cars on the road as possible.

Recently we have also opened a Unit to allow us to undertake more involved jobs such as subframe replacements and full restorations. Read more about this service here.

Jon’s background has been varied covering all types of motor engineering and electronics. The cars he has created have always had a theme, to be something different

His cars have featured in magazines such as MG Enthusiast and Classic Car Mart, the features focusing on both sides of Jon’s talents, the keeping and restoration of totally original modern classics through to the modified road going track day car

As mechanics we now largely specialise in the K-series engine, which can be found not just in MG Rover’s, but also in the Freelander, Lotus and Caterham.

MGF’s and TF’s have been at the forefront of the last 18 years for Jon and Rough Luck Racing.

Gaining the respect of the owners communities and the members of the forums and websites who own these cars. Jon can often be found offering his technical advice, for free, to help out a fellow owner and enthusiast.
